The opening track, Oval, carries its mtlefrom the appreciamon of soo edges, li]le distormon, minimal rhythmic pa]ern.Upon hearing Pinchs tune 136 Trek, (itself a nod to Zincs 138 Trek), Beatrice decidedto name a tune 132 Trek, to conmnue the lineage of their musical heritage. The tunewas already called Trek because it was made aoer moving from France and spendingtheir first months in London, and realising everything is a bloody trek!!The EPs mtle track is about warm-up music and enjoying the earlier hours of theparty - a quick immersion and then mme for bed, rather than banging club tracks allnight long. Beatrice likes to show up early at the club, watch it fill and then leave as itpacks out. Midnight Swim is a dip into a roller.The last tune of the EP features Sub Basics, the first armst to have a vinyl release onBeatrices own label, Bait, and one of their biggest musical inspiramons. Sub Basicsimmersive progressive sounds fit simultaneously in the deep techno world and thedubstep world. A beaumful in-between.
